21-25 June. I taught Short Fiction at the Southeastern Writers Association conference on Saint Simon’s Island, GA.

28 March. I manned the Alabama Writers Conclave display at “Alabama Bound,” at the Birmingham Public Library.

24-26 October. I was a fiction judge and I signed books at the South Carolina Writers Workshop, in Myrtle Beach, SC.

6 September. Signed books at the Piccadilly Cafeteria, 2801 Memorial Parkway, Huntsville, AL.

13 August - 30 September. Deb Cidboy, the cover artist for my books, and I participated in the exhibition at the Hampton Fine Arts Gallery in Greensboro, GA. Deb offered a painting and I signed books.

27 July – 1 August. Attended the Appalachian Writers Workshop at the Hindman Settlement School, in Kentucky.

18-20 July. Taught three sessions on writing short fiction and conducted critique sessions for the Alabama Writers Conclave conference, in Tuscaloosa, AL.

11-13 July. Taught a fiction workshop (critique group) at the Appalachian Writers Association conference, Morehead State University, KY.

15-19 June. Attended the Southeastern Writers Association conference on Saint Simon’s Island, GA. (I will teach there in 2009).

6-7 June. Taught a fiction workshop at the Tennessee Writers Alliance conference, in Franklin, TN.
