responsibilities included hiring and supervising faculty and staff, planning
course offerings and schedules, program marketing, management of a budget,
and coordination with other departments of the college. The courses offered
were both academic and vocational. My students were both traditional and
non-traditional, varying greatly in combinations of gender, age, race,
and educational background.

Exploring Education as a Profession.
This community based course, in which we employed portfolio evaluation,
provided our students with an opportunity to explore teaching as a career
field. Beginning with state-supplied requirements, we developed the syllabus,
lesson plans, and evaluation plan.
